Customs Advise

We offer legal advice and provide legal opinions on simple and complex customs matters, including all "maquila" type obligations and regulations and strategic planning.

Representation and rulings before the Mexican customs authorities.

We provide analysis and advice on the application of the Mexican Customs Law, Regulations of the Mexican Customs Law, Foreign Trade Rules, among other regulations.

Rules of origin under the different trade agreements and analysis on whether a product meets such rules of origin under the different trade agreements.

Compliance with Official Mexican Standards (NOMs, for its Spanish acronym). Audits and Litigation

Assistance during Customs Audits. We provide with advice and assistance during a foreign trade/customs audits carried out by the Mexican customs authorities to minimize or mitigate the exposure of the company.

Duty Assessments. We represent clients in customs litigation before the Federal Tax Court against customs assessments issued by the federal authorities.
